Markenfield Hall, described as ‘Yorkshire’s best-kept secret’, is an early 14th century moated country house three miles south of Ripon, North Yorkshire. It is one of the finest surviving English country houses from that time. And only a one mile walk across the fields!

Two lakes in a woodland setting, very peaceful and away from roads. Good access with 2 car parks and footpaths to all platforms. Both lakes are spring fed; the depths of the lakes vary from 10ft down to 1ft with many ledges to fish to.
